Perfect location outside the main Lake District, short drives to Lorton Vale and Keswick, handy for Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall. Shops, pubs, and a general mooch within a 20-minute walk. Lovely property with great bookshelves, modern conveniences, and original features.
Felt very lucky, nothing to complain about.

Great location outside the main touristy area. Easy access to Lorton Vale, Keswick, and even Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall. close to Cockermouth for shops and pubs. The property itself was impressive with a mix of modern conveniences and original features. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge freezer and a beautiful range to cook on. The bedrooms were lovely and there were plenty of indoor plants that added a nice touch. a charming and cozy place to stay.
The house had some drawbacks. First, it was quite noisy, especially with the creaky floors that made every step echo.
